Our Products
At BCG Medical, we make and sell proprietary surgical positioning drapes designed with built-in warming features to help secure patients in robotic-assisted surgery.
As the patient is usually put in the head-down position, also called the Trendelenburg position, in these types of surgeries, they are at high risk of sliding off the surgical table. Our products, the Opt-Shield Air Supine and the Opt-Shield Air Trendelenburg, are created with added safety and warming features that keep patients secured and warm during cold surgical procedures.
We understand that patient warming is an important goal during surgery but can be challenging to achieve. When surgical patients are exposed to low temperatures during operations, they are at a higher risk for increased infection, more bleeding, and a longer time to wake up and recover. BCG Medical products help address these problems, keeping the patients safe and warm the entire time.

Lisa Giap
Co-Founder and COO of BCG Medical,
Lisa holds a B.A. in Management Information Systems and brings over 15 years of extensive experience in R&D, FDA regulatory compliance, sales, and manufacturing and inventory management. She has successfully guided BCG Medical Products from the initial concept through R&D, manufacturing, FDA regulatory approval, and sales and marketing.
As the driving force behind BCG Medical’s daily operations, Lisa ensures the seamless integration of all business functions, playing a pivotal role in the company’s growth and success.
Brandon C. Giap, MD
Founder and CEO of BCG Medical,
As the Founder and CEO of BCG Medical, Dr. Giap brings nearly 30 years of experience as a highly respected anesthesiologist. His relentless pursuit of innovation focuses on enhancing patient safety in the Operating Room and optimizing the efficiency of OR teams.
Dr. Giap is a distinguished graduate of the University of Texas Medical School in Galveston, Texas. He completed his anesthesia residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, followed by an advanced fellowship in cardiac anesthesia at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. His leadership is further exemplified by his tenure as Chairman of the Department of Anesthesia at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, California from 2008-2010, and his role as Director of the Cardiac Anesthesia Division at Sharp Memorial Hospital from 2008 to 2020.
